Everton get fresh green light for Luis Henrique transfer as exit on cards

Everton could potentially revisit a move for Inter Milan winger Luis Henrique in the upcoming transfer window.

The Serie A giants are open to selling the Brazilian star just a year after his arrival from Olympique Marseille, according to Corriere dello Sport.

On 31 March, the news outlet reports that English clubs that made contact for the 24-year-old in the winter transfer window will find the doors wide open to sign him in the summer.

Henrique was a target at Hill Dickinson Stadium in January, with the Toffees reaching out to the Italian club over a possible deal for him.

David Moyes will surely expect The Friedkin Group to back him at the end of the season, especially if he achieves European qualification, and the Merseyside outfit have arguably given a fresh green light to pursue Henrique.

Luis Henrique season in numbers amid Everton interest

Henrique has mostly played as a full-back under Cristian Chivu this season, but he doesn’t seem convinced by the winger.

In the current campaign, the Brazilian ace has made 25 appearances in the league for the Serie A side, scoring one goal, providing two assists and creating five big chances, as per Sofascore.

Henrique’s Ligue 1 record last season

The full-back has averaged 25.4 successful passes per game with 87 per cent accuracy and completed 0.4 dribbles per game with a 50 per cent success rate.

Henrique hasn’t been tasked with a lot of defensive responsibility by Chivu, with the winger averaging 0.7 tackles, 0.6 clearances and winning 1.2 of his total duels per game.

The Brazil national isn’t the best going back, but his impact in the final third was evident during his time in Marseille, where he scored 9 goals and provided 10 assists in all competitions last season while playing in a more attacking role.

David Moyes to have final say on Luis Henrique deal

The Toffees had been involved in multiple relegation battles before the Scottish manager’s arrival, but are now in contention to qualify for the Europa League or even the Champions League with seven Premier League games to go.

Moyes will now surely have a massive say on who the Blues should sign in the summer if he commits his long-term future at the club.

Henrique showed potential during his time in Spain, but any potential deal has to be at the right price for the Merseysiders to pull it off.
