Everton scouts have reportedly been closely following PSV starlet Esmir Bajraktarevic ahead of a possible summer swoop.

The Toffees have been named as one club that have sent scouts to watch the 21-year-old play for Bosnia and Herzegovina throughout the World Cup qualifiers.

Clubs in Germany and Italy are also said to have had previous interest in the winger, but the Blues seem to be very keen on him.

According to the Bosnian outlet, Sportsport.ba, Everton scouts are suggested to have been at PSV games to follow his progress, though this particular information is still unofficial.

However, it does seem as though Everton wants to sign Bajraktarevic, and he wouldn't cost the Friedkin Group much.

Everton have long-standing interest in Esmir Bajraktarevic

Bajraktarevic is said to be worth £4.3million, and PSV are willing to listen to all offers for the youngster whose deal expires in 2029.

According to a close source to the player, Everton have had interest in him for a long time, with this summer possibly the window that the Blues finally make a move.

Bajraktarevic vs Italy

As seen in the table above, Bajraktarevic picked up an 8.6 FotMob rating for his display in Bosnia's epic World Cup qualifying triumph over Italy, with his nation now set to play in the tournament this summer.

He has dazzling dribbling ability and knows how to pick out an incisive pass, as seen with his six chances created against the EURO 2021 winners.

According to Scouts in Attendance on X, Bajraktarevic has been likened to Lionel Messi and is an American-born footballer from Milwaukee.

There's certainly a lot to unfold in this report, and it looks like a possible transfer dominoes affect could happen at Hill Dickinson if this deal were to come off.

David Moyes is hoping for new attacking signings this summer, and that's exactly what he might be getting.

Tyler Dibling could leave Everton amid Bajraktarevic interest

Bajraktarevic is a natural right-winger, but also has the ability to play as a number nine.

Tyler Dibling has struggled to play an important role from right wing this season, and could be loaned out this summer. The Toffees spent a lot when signing the Englishman from Southampton, so they won't be quick to give up on them.

  • Bajraktarevic has played 25 games in Eredivisie this season
  • He had four goal involvements
  • The winger averages 1.89 dribbles per 90

However, Bajraktarevic's low £4.3m value may be something that the Friedkin Group simply can't pass up, and if he is brought to Merseyside, it could sanction Dibling's exit.

After all, if a player is being compared to Messi, he must have something about him.
