Esmir Bajraktarevic would be Everton transfer bargain as his PSV numbers prove
Esmir Bajraktarevic would be a highly shrewd investment for Everton to make, as his PSV numbers are highly impressive.
As per Bosnian outlet Sportsport.ba, Everton scouts are claimed to have been in attendance at PSV matches in order to keep a close eye on his progress, although that information is unverified.
The 21-year-old started his professional career with MLS side New England Revolution, before eventually making his way to Dutch giants PSV in January 2025.
A versatile forward player, the Bosnia and Herzegovina international predominantly operates as a right winger, but can also be deployed as a striker too.
He’s enjoyed a breakthrough season in European football with PSV this term, and that seems to have put him on Everton’s summer transfer radar.

How good has Everton-linked Esmir Bajraktarevic been for PSV?
Born in Wisconsin in the United States, Bajraktarevic was already starting to make waves in MLS before he received an opportunity he couldn’t turn down in PSV.
He made over 50 appearances for New England Revolution before moving to the Eredivisie, and has also been capped by the USA at senior international level too.

Indeed, it was he who scored the winning penalty against Italy to send Bosnia to this summer’s World Cup, etching his name into Bosnian footballing folklore forever.
So, his name is really starting to get out there across world football, and he looks primed for his next big move in the near future.
Bajraktarevic could be valued at £4.3million, which in today’s market and given his stats at PSV this season, that would be an absolute steal for Everton.
He’s scored four goals and provided four assists from 26 Eredivisie appearances this season, and has also found the net three times in the cup too, taking his total goal tally to seven in all competitions in 2025-26.
Indeed, Thursday saw him score twice and provide two assists in an unbelievable performance during a 6-1 league win over PEC Zwolle, showing just how much ability resides in his young boots.
As per Sofascore, Bajraktarevic has only averaged 35 minutes per Eredivisie appearance this season, but has still created five big chances, has a goal conversion of 13 per cent and a passing accuracy of 87 per cent.
He’s also won 52 per cent of his ground duels, made zero errors leading to opposition goals, scored twice from inside and outside the box, with all four of his strike coming via his left foot.
Bajraktarevic could be perfect Dwight McNeil replacement
Everton should be looking to find an upgrade on Dwight McNeil down the right flank this summer, and Bajraktarevic could be exactly what they’re looking for.
McNeil’s production has simply not been there at Hill Dickinson Stadium this season, providing just one assist with zero goals from 20 Premier League appearances.
He’s taken a notable step backwards for the Toffees in 2025-26, and that department desperately needs an injection of quality and confidence: attributes that Bajraktarevic has in abundance.
Should Everton be able to keep hold of Iliman Ndiaye for another term, pairing him up with the ascending young Bosnian would hand David Moyes one of the most fun and exciting wide duos in the Premier League.
Not only that, but there is of course the opportunity for the Toffees to turn a huge profit on him in the future if they can snag him for a relatively small fee. This one just has can’t-miss bargain written all over it.
