Everton must take caution with Zuriko Davitashvili, risk may outweigh reward
Everton have been linked with a move to sign Zuriko Davitashvili.
The Toffees have another huge summer ahead, with David Moyes in need of many reinforcements, especially in the forward areas.
While it’s fair to look back at the campaign as a good one in general, the way it has fizzled out towards the end showcases the need for improvement.
Several attackers have been linked with a move to Hill Dickinson in a bid to address those concerns ahead of the new campaign.
Davitashvili is one of the reported targets, though a deal would come with a risk.

Zuriko Davitashvili transfer makes sense on one condition
Davitashvili has had another excellent campaign in Ligue 2, though that there is what poses the main risk for Everton.
The majority of his career has been spent outside of Europe’s top five leagues, which is a very different prospect from the Premier League.
If he were to be the only wide addition in the summer, then it would be a huge gamble by the Toffees, and not a cheap one either, given the reported £13million price tag.

However, if he was one of two additions in that area of the pitch, then it may be a risk worth taking.
Davitashvili has featured in France’s top flight once in his career, and he managed an impressive 17 goal involvements in 33 appearances.
Davitashvili fate could come clear next week
Saint-Etienne are due to face Nice in the Ligue 1 qualifications, and if they fall to defeat, an exit for Davitashvili is all but nailed on.
However, if they are victorious, then the likelihood is that he will remain in France to prove his worth in the top flight again.
That game is due to take place on Friday, 29 May, which is when Everton will learn the likelihood of a summer transfer.
