Zuriko Davitashvili: Everton await outcome of Ligue 1 play-offs with £13m transfer fee mooted
Zuriko Davitashvili’s impressive performances in Ligue 2 have caught the eye of Everton ahead of the summer window.
The Toffees were linked with the Georgian back in January, but they are still in the market for the wide forward this summer.
David Moyes will need plenty of reinforcements in the attacking areas, as they have often been a department lacking for the L3 side.
When Jack Grealish’s season ended, it became clear how much depth was required for Everton to continue their Premier League push for Europe.
The Blues eventually signed Tyrique George, but his little impact ultimately did not change much. An Everton transfer for other wide forwards would make plenty of sense as a result.

How much could Everton sign Zuriko Davitashvili for?
According to French outlet Foot Sur 7, Everton are one of six clubs that are keeping an eye on the situation of Davitashvili.
The Georgian winger was voted as the Ligue 2 MVP at the most recent UNFP award ceremony.
| Zuriko Davitashvili’s MVP-winning season | Total |
| xG / Goals | 9.72 / 14 |
| Big chances created | 8 |
| Dribble success | 42% |
Davitashvili secured 14 goals and picked up five assists throughout the season for Saint-Etienne, whose season is not yet over, with the French side poised to play in the relegation play-offs against OGC Nice.
If the Georgian forward’s side secure the victory over two legs, it would seem to achieve promotion into Ligue 1.
The report out of France suggests that if the Greens fail to defeat Nice, it would open the door for the 25-year-old to leave the club.
Among those interested alongside the Toffees are Olympiacos, Benfica and Besiktas with Saint-Etienne looking to receive no less than £13million (€15million) for their star man.
Benfica had previously sent a bid for Davitashvili amid interest from Everton, but their offer of £6.9m was rejected.

What could Zuriko Davitashvili move mean for Everton’s squad?
If Davitashvili does join Everton, it would likely mean that George’s time at Hill Dickinson has come to an end.
With both being primarily left-sided attackers and Grealish still well-liked in L3, it would not make sense for both to be in Merseyside next season.
It could also spell the end of Dwight McNeil’s time as well, although he has been utilised on the right wing over the last few months.
Either way, Davitashvili does seem to be quite well priced for a player that has shone for his club this campaign, despite it being the second division of France.
