Jamie Carragher makes final Tottenham relegation prediction as Everton await in Premier League
Everton have thrown away their chances of European football in a dreadful final month of the Premier League season.
Despite some difficult fixtures for David Moyes and his squad, they were considered to be one of the favourites to secure Europe for next season.
Defeats against the likes of Sunderland and West Ham saw that fall away, and the season will conclude away at Tottenham on Sunday afternoon.
Spurs are fighting for their lives in the Premier League and could be relegated to the Championship if they lose and West Ham beat Leeds United.
So one way or the other, Everton will have a huge say on the Premier League.

Everton to continue shocker end to Premier League
Despite his early allegiances to Everton before his career at Liverpool, that hasn’t stopped Jamie Carragher from predicting another defeat on the final day in North London.
| Fixture | Date | Result |
| Brentford (a) | 11/04 | 2-2 D |
| Liverpool (h) | 19/04 | 2-1 L |
| West Ham (a) | 25/04 | 2-1 L |
| Man City (h) | 04/05 | 3-3 D |
| Crystal Palace (a) | 10/05 | 2-2 D |
| Sunderland (h) | 17/05 | 3-1 L |
Speaking alongside his predictions for Sky Sports’ Super 6, Carragher believes it will be more of the same disappointment for the Toffees in a 2-0 defeat.
“West Ham will go down with a whimper, while Spurs survive by the skin of their teeth, while Brighton will beat a team of Man Utd youngsters given a run out for the final week,” he concluded.

It would sum up a dreadful end to the season to not only lose at Tottenham, who haven’t won at home in the Premier League in 2026, but to hand them a clean sheet.
Roberto De Zerbi would most likely even be shocked at that outcome, given that he’s seen.
Everton need some final day positivity
It had been a brilliant season, and not fighting relegation after the turmoil of the past five years is a positive in itself.
However, when you get so close, it can often feel more disappointing than anything else.
Everton could still earn European football, but it would take a huge final-day swing to overtake the likes of Sunderland, Newcastle and Brentford.

Dropping 15 points out of your last 18 is not good enough for anybody in the Premier League, regardless of the fixtures.
Teams fighting relegation not long ago, like Leeds and Nottingham Forest, have taken way more than that, so Moyes will not be happy with what he’s seen.
With significant further backing clearly needed from the Friedkin Group, it’s clear that Moyes and Everton must end with a bang against Tottenham to warrant demands like that.
