Thierno Barry increasingly likely to leave Everton on loan amid Will Osula chase
Thierno Barry would become Everton‘s third-choice striker if the Toffees signed Newcastle United star Will Osula.
The Toffees signed Barry last summer, and his form in the Premier League this season has been okay, but his antics off the field have sparked controversy surrounding his name.
The Frenchman is currently playing second fiddle to Beto, though that was never supposed to be the case when they signed him from Villarreal.
David Moyes has multiple transfer priorities this summer, one of them is to land a new number nine, which the Freidkin Group tried to give him in the winter window.
Now, Everton are being linked with Osula, who would most likely become Moyes’ number one forward if he joined the Blues.

Everton won’t give up on Thierno Barry amid Will Osula chase
Newcastle would listen to talks for Osula starting at the £60million mark, a fee that may sound too high for the Friedkin Group.
However, Everton are hopeful of an ambitious window, as Dan Friedkin and Co. will want to make up for poor dealings last summer.

Newcastle are a bit of a mess right now under Eddie Howe, and though Osula isn’t supposed to be the first-choice striker for the Magpies, he is getting regular game time.
Howe’s side spent about £120m on new centre-forward’s last summer, and with there still being hope for Yoanne Wissa and Nick Woltemade to come good, Osula could be sold.
However, should the 22-year-old come to Hill Dickinson, Moyes’ one-striker formation would mean space would be limited between him, Beto and Barry.
Everton are aware that they need to progress as a club alongside Barry, but a loan stint away from the Toffees could do him the world of good.
Beto has proven time and time again that he is happy to be relied on when needed, and would most likely understand if the club were to go try to sign an upgrade this summer.
Newcastle’s £60m Osula marker will be lowered, surely
Newcastle fans have felt aggrieved that their club spent around £120m on two forwards who may not be good enough.
Osula has been in form, but will most likely struggle to nail himself down as the number one choice up top, especially with the summer coming around the corner.
Newcastle have shown that they can spend more money than Everton, but they will also need to make their own profit, and can make a lot on Osula.
They are not in a position where they necessarily need to sell the Dane, and that’s why they’re trying to scare clubs off with the £60m marker.
However, there’s no reason why Everton won’t be able to get their man if they offer around £40m up front with other add-ons and clauses.
