Everton summer priority clear as David Moyes sends transfer message
Everton are in need of some serious depth this summer.
The Toffees have had their season fizzle out over the last few weeks, meaning they enter the final game of the season completely out of the European race.
Staggered prize money is still up for grabs, but for the most part, Everton have nothing left to play for ahead of their trip to North London.
As a result, plans will have already been initiated ahead of the summer transfer window, with plenty of business to be done.
And with what David Moyes has done this season, or in this instance, what he hasn’t done, it’s clear what they will try to do.

Everton rank lowest in Premier League for team metric
It’s no secret that Moyes has always had a starting 11 in mind, though the lack of rotation has ultimately come at a cost.
The Toffees have used just 22 players in the Premier League this season, which is the fewest of any team in the top flight.
Added to that, they have only made 57 changes to the starting 11 from game to game, which is again the fewest in the Premier League.

Granted, Everton haven’t always had the options available, especially with AFCON over Christmas and injuries.
However, for the Toffees to rank lowest in both of those areas showcases that Moyes wants and needs more depth in his squad.
Europe may have been a hindrance for Everton
We’ve seen what happened with Palace, Tottenham and Nottingham Forest over the last 12 months in terms of Europe and the effect it had on their domestic campaigns.
That would almost certainly have been Everton if they had qualified for Europe, which may just be one step too far right now.
The Toffees need plenty of additions this summer before they can even be considered ready for the next step.
