Everton should end their interest in Armando Broja after his Ipswich Town medical highlighted a potential issue.

The Toffees had shown an interest in signing the Albania international from Chelsea until a move to the Tractor Boys appeared to be a done deal.

Now it appears that a deal is off with the newly promoted side due to "paperwork issues" that means a move to Goodison could be back on the cards [Jacob Steinberg].

Despite this, Sean Dyche and Co. should now steer clear of the former Southampton loanee after what Dharmesh Sheth reported via X [24 August].

Everton must end Armando Broja interest after Ipswich Town update

The Sky Sports reporter has suggested that one source has claimed that the striker's "medical highlighted an issue."

This is no surprise given the terrible injury that Broja suffered in a friendly against Aston Villa in warm-up matches during the 2022 World Cup.

He has never truly came back from this, summed up by his poor run of form for Chelsea and when on loan at Fulham.

A mix of inconsistent form in front of goal and an injury history which could see him ruled out of plenty of matches sum up why Everton should now stay away from this deal.

These characteristics are very similar to those of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has struggled at times at Goodison Park with goals and injury concerns.

Dyche will be keen to keep hold of the Englishman despite interest from rivals, which will mean signing Broja doesn't become necessary before the summer transfer deadline amid this latest update.
