Bryan King has speculated that Red Bull might know something about a potential takeover of Everton which supporters do not.

The ex-Goodison scout has congratulated those at the club for agreeing a deal with a brand "as big as Red Bull."

As per the Liverpool Echo (6 September), Red Bull have become the Official Energy Drink Partner of Everton. It is a club-record deal of its kind in terms of finances for the Toffees.

And King - speaking exclusively to Goodison News - has speculated that there could be more than meets the eye in terms of this deal.

"That is what Red Bull does for you," King said.

"It is meant to give you that extra boost. Hopefully, it has that kind of impact on the players.

"Well done to those behind the scenes for getting this deal agreed and bringing in a name as big as Red Bull. We know that they're massive in motorsports, and in football too.

"Whether they know something we don't know about the takeover, who knows. However, publicity is what they'll want and publicity is what they will get with the club."

Everton takeover progresses at Goodison Park?

The takeover saga at Goodison Park has been a long and drawn-out one.

Therefore, supporters will be desperate for any positive updates that they can get. In terms of Red Bull agreeing a deal with the Toffees, that might have nothing to do with a potential takeover.

Everton
Farhad Moshiri will be keen to find new Everton owners.

However, for a company as big as Red Bull to associate their brand with Everton must suggest that things are moving in the right direction behind the scenes.

Fans will have to wait and see. However, in a time of doom and gloom at Goodison Park, this is certainly a positive update.
