Everton next owners to strike 'bargain' takeover deal with Farhad Moshiri
Everton owner Farhad Moshiri will "eventually" sell the club to someone "getting a bargain", according to Andy Dunn.
The Sunday Mirror journalist wrote in their print edition (21 July, page 71) that despite the Friedkin Group pulling out of their takeover on 19 July [The Athletic], the Toffees project is still an enticing one for prospective owners.
Dunn added that whoever does buy the club from Farhad Moshiri, they will be getting a bargain, provided they spend their money much more wisely than the Iranian businessman has while at Goodison Park.
He highlighted that the opening of the club's new stadium on Bramley-Moore Dock, slated for the start of the 2025/26 season, will be "instantly iconic" and makes the Blues an attractive proposition.

While Dunn is confident that the Toffees' new stadium will prove to be a beacon of hope for a financially sustainable future, the present is precarious following the Friedkin Group's collapsed takeover.
Everton insider Bryan King exclusively told Goodison News on 7 July that the Friedkin Group takeover hit a “stumbling block” due to the money that was owed to 777 Partners.
As a result, the bidding process will reopen for interested buyers, several of whom were cast aside in favour of Friedkin's bid last month as the Californian entered into an exclusivity period with Moshiri [Everton FC website, 21 June].
In the background, the continued building of the new stadium on Liverpool's waterfront will continue, but unfortunately so will the debts accrued by its construction and the day-to-day running of the club.
There's unfortunately no timeframe on when, and who, will eventually succeed Moshiri as majority shareholder at Goodison Park, but Toffees fans the world over will hope it's as soon as possible.
