Everton takeover could be complete within six weeks after Dan Friedkin agreement

Dan Friedkin could complete his takeover of Everton within the next six to eight weeks, according to the Guardian.

The newspaper reported online (23 September) that the Friedkin Group's takeover of the club could be ratified by the Premier League as soon as early November.

Everton confirmed via the club's official website on Monday (23 September) that Farhad Moshiri had reached a takeover agreement with the Friedkin Group.

Ben Jacobs had previously reported via X (23 September) that the approval process for the Friedkin Group's takeover would take eight to 12 weeks.

Monday 23 September will go down as a monumental day in the history of Everton Football Club.

In years to come, it could be seen as the day the club was saved, and a bright new future began for the Toffees.

It might have been a long and painful process for everybody involved. However, the takeover saga finally looks to have concluded.

That has also looked to be the case on previous occasions. Therefore, it would be difficult to blame any pessimistic Everton supporters for feeling anxious.

However, as per Giulia Bould via X, the takeover is 99 per cent complete, and all that is left is Premier League approval.

All of the hurdles involved appear to have been cleared. As a result, fans can start to relax in the knowledge that a brand-new owner is on his way.

How the Friedkin Group get on remains to be seen. However, after the previous regime, it would be difficult to do any worse.
