An all-equity offer for the Everton takeover made by Roma owner Dan Friedkin is said to have turned Farhad Moshiri's head, according to the Telegraph.

The newspaper reported via its website on 14 June that Friedkin, whose net worth is £4.8billion is expected to be granted exclusivity in the deal.

Andy Bell and George Downing were also in contention, but Friedkin appears to have emerged as the favourite after Moshiri held extensive talks.

Everton to join the Roma multi-club model post the takeover?

If Friedkin's takeover bid is successful, the Toffees could potentially join Roma in a multi-club model.

This model involves owning and operating multiple football clubs, which can lead to various benefits.

For Everton, joining Roma's multi-club model could provide access to a larger network of clubs, allowing for increased collaboration and resource sharing.

This could include player development, scouting and commercial partnerships.

Additionally, being part of a multi-club model could help the Toffees expand their global reach and enhance its brand visibility.
