Everton takeover twist emerges as bidder pulls out of race to buy club

Vatche Manoukian and his consortium have pulled out of the race to complete the Everton takeover and have issued a statement.

BBC journalist Shamoon Hafez took to Twitter to share the statement which addressed the Toffees fans and stated that they deserve to see their club competing for trophies.
