Everton to make 'heavyweight' appointment as takeover update emerges at Goodison Park
The Friedkin Group are likely to implement a "heavyweight" senior management team once the Everton takeover is completed, according to iNews.
The online source reported [9 October] that while Ryan Friedkin could help oversee the club's new era, there are no plans for him to leave his vice-chair role at Roma and relocate.
It is understood that Retexo owner - a leading analytics and advisory firm in global football - Charles Gould will aid the restructuring on Merseyside, having advised the group before.
The Friedkin Group's plan is to rebuild the neglected areas of the club, and the hope is to recruit externally, with no current plans to shift people from their Serie A team.
Everton changes afoot as Friedkin takeover nears
While the Toffees have remained in the Premier League over the last few seasons, there is a general feeling development and improvement has stalled at Goodison Park.
The club has been crushed by Farhad Moshiri's leadership, not only through his lack of communication with the fans but also due to the mountains of debt and multiple points deductions.
Sean Dyche has had to work wonders on the pitch, having been provided with a rather small budget, and has managed to keep the team afloat until now.
While he remains under pressure due to his awful start to the campaign, only just lifting the side out of the relegation zone, things finally look to be on the up for the Toffees.
It remains to be seen, however, if Dyche will keep his job once the Friedkins complete their proposed takeover as this could be one of the many changes that comes with the new "heavyweight" team.
Of course, it would be a sad ending after all he has achieved with the Toffees so far, Friedkin wants to take the club into a new era, and changing the manager is likely just one of a plethora of changes.
