Everton have long been linked with a move for West Brom ace Tom Fellows, and a fresh transfer update has emerged ahead of the summer.

David Moyes' side missed out on the West Brom youngster in the winter transfer window.

Details have emerged of why that deal broke down, after The Friedkin Group made a decision at Everton [Alan Nixon].

It has since been reported that the Blues would not revisit a deal for Fellows this summer [iPaper]. However, that looks to have changed, as details of Moyes' plan to sign the forward now emerge.

Moyes wants Fellows at Everton

As reported by Alan Nixon via his Patreon (16 March), Everton remain interested in Fellows, with Moyes recently instructing Alan Irvine and Charlie Adam to keep an eye on the West Brom gem.

Nixon previously reported via his Patreon (3 February) that Everton had agreed a £10m deal with West Brom for Fellows.

And ex-Goodison scout Bryan King - speaking exclusively to Goodison News - believes this will be the asking price, regardless of which division the Baggies are playing in next season.

"I don't think it matters if West Brom get promoted or not," King said.

"Should they remain in the Championship, I'd still expect the asking price to be £10m. Moyes has asked Irvine and Adam to keep an eye on Fellows.

"However, the new people who arrive at the club are going to need to be instructed to keep an eye on Fellows. For any staff coming from Leeds, they will probably have a good idea about Fellows."

Everton need to sign Fellows for Moyes

It appears as though Moyes wants Fellows in his squad. Therefore, Everton must do whatever it takes to sign the young Englishman this summer.

Angus Kinnear wants to bring two Leeds United staff members with him to Everton [Nixon]. As a result, Moyes will need to make it clear to his new backroom team that Fellows is a priority.
