Everton loanee Sean McAllister, who is on loan at Inverness, may now be out for the rest of the season, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert has reacted to an update about his thigh which sees him missing up to six weeks of action.

While specifics are not given over how intense his injury is, he's unlikely to return before the end of April at the earliest.

"This sounds like a muscular injury as the club mentioning a thigh injury is very vague so it’s hard to give any more specifics.

"If the timeline is indeed six weeks, then I’d expect him to be back in individual around a month or so with an increasing focus on sport-specific movements.

"That means he’ll be back in full training sometime in May.

"This means, considering the probability of setbacks, he is fighting a race against time to return before the end of the season."

Everton loanee McAllister may not play again this season

McAllister made five appearances in the Scottish Championship this season since moving north of the border.

In those games, he's scored a goal and provided an assist and will be a big miss for his side.

Everton stadium Goodison Park
Goodison Park has been host to plenty of drama on and off the field this season

They will be hoping that he returns to full fitness sooner rather than later and not out for how long it's feared.
