Everton will not be selling Bramley-Moore Dock once it's completed despite their recent financial constraints, according to Alan Myers.

The Sky Sports news editor does not see the Toffees raising money via the sale of their new home ground from the 2025/26 season.

This comes after the club were left in an uncertain financial situation with the Friedkin Group pulling out of the takeover.

Myers responded on X on 19 July: "No."

Everton would be senseless to sell Bramley-Moore Dock

Selling Bramley-Moore Dock would be a short-sighted decision for the club, as a new stadium offers numerous long-term benefits.

Firstly, a modern stadium like it can attract more fans and generate higher ticket sales, as well as offer enhanced hospitality and corporate facilities, increasing revenue streams.

The state-of-the-art infrastructure can also attract high-profile players and improve the club's ability to compete in the transfer market.

Moreover, the new stadium can serve as a catalyst for the regeneration of the surrounding area, potentially attracting new businesses and creating jobs.

This could lead to increased sponsorship opportunities and partnerships, further boosting the club's finances.

Additionally, the new stadium can host concerts and other events, diversifying the club's income sources.

Even a consideration of selling the new home ground would immediately make the new owners extremely unpopular with the fans.
