Everton are set to take on Manchester City on Saturday as they look to cause an upset at the Etihad Stadium. 

The Toffees will go into the game full of confidence after they overcame an unbeaten Crystal Palace side 2-1 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium before the international break.

On top of this, many of David Moyes’ players have continued their form for their countries, with Iliman Ndiaye earning praise for his performance against Senegal.

Now, Goodison News has attempted to predict how the Toffees will line up for their match against Man City on the weekend.

Carlos Alcaraz to be rewarded with start against Manchester City 

Going into the match, Moyes will be expected to make changes for the Man City match.

Jordan Pickford is likely to remain in goal as ever.

However, Michael Keane could be forced out of the Everton team due to an injury against Crystal Palace.

As a result, Nathan Patterson comes in the starting XI at right-back, while Jake O’Brien is forced into centre-back alongside James Tarkowski and Vitalii Mykolenko remains left-back.

  • Keane has been great for Everton so far this season
  • However, he was forced off with a potential injury to his ribs against Crystal Palace
  • It is currently unknown how long the defender could be out for

Going into the midfield, Moyes will likely keep the partnership of Idrissa Gueye and James Garner, with the duo working well together in recent weeks.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is available for selection again for Everton and he will come in as the attacking midfielder for Tyler Dibling.

The Scotsman should reward Carlos Alcaraz for his performance against Crystal Palace as he changed the game off the bench.

As a result, Argentine comes in on the right wing, with Nidaye being pushed out to the left wing, due to Jack Grealish being ineligible to play against his parent club.

Up top, the final change will be Beto returning to the starting XI for Thierno Barry, who failed to impress against Crystal Palace.

Chances are running out for Beto at Everton

While Beto did perform well off the bench against Crystal Palace, chances are starting to run out for the striker.

Simply put, he has to score more goals, with his last coming in August despite the opportunities he has had.

Now, this needs to be rectified, and while a goal may not come against Man City, another good performance will be expected at the Etihad.

If not, his Everton career may be set to come to an end in January.
