Everton made a huge decision in leaving Goodison Park behind ahead of the 2025-26 season.

However, David Moyes and Everton have settled in nicely at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, starting the Premier League season well at their new home.

Everton's loss to Tottenham was the first at the ground, but Moyes will be hoping that it's only the first of very little this season.

On Monday night, Everton travel to Sunderland to play away from home at the Stadium of Light, as the Hill Dickinson is in use for other operations this Saturday.

Chris Kamara fumes at train network on way to Hill Dickinson

With Everton not playing at home to Sunderland in game week 10 of the Premier League, the Toffees have decided to make the most of the use of the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

On Saturday evening, Everton's home ground hosted the Ashes Rugby League showdown between England and Australia, which was the second test between the two sides.

  • The Hill Dickinson has a multi-purpose use
  • The venue holds over 52,000 people
  • Hill Dickinson will be used in the 2028 UEFA Euros if the UK/Ireland bid is successful

However, en route to Bramley-Moore Dock, legendary pundit Chris Kamara aired his frustration with his travels to reach the Hill Dickinson, while commenting on X.

Kamara said: "I really am not one for moaning and realise people have difficult jobs. But I’m starting to believe that whoever is in charge of the [train] networks does it deliberately.

"On my way to the Ashes Rugby League game at Everton’s ground in Liverpool. Despite the fact they know thousands of fans will be travelling, the train gets cancelled & the next train is only 3 carriages and you have to scramble to get on. Sorry, rant over."

Everton fans haven't had much issue with travel yet

Everton and Moyes know how important the Bluenoses are for the success of the team and need the Hill Dickinson packed out every game.

With the stadium being new, all Toffees fans had to switch up their usual traditions of attending Goodison Park and travel plans.

Thankfully, so far, Everton fans have had little issue with reaching the stadium, as when the first whistle blows on a matchday, Hill Dickinson is typically packed out.

Kamara's update may come as a worry for Everton fans who travel by train to the ground, as hopefully, issues are resolved before the next home game, which takes place against Fulham on Saturday, 8 November.
