Everton manager David Moyes is set to speak to the media on Monday for the first time since he returned to Goodison Park, according to Sky Sports.

The news outlet reported (19:50, 12 January) that a press conference has been scheduled for 4 pm on 13 January.

The former West Ham man was brought in to replace Sean Dyche after he was sacked before the 2-0 victory over Peterborough in the FA Cup third round.

The Scottish manager's first match is the Premier League clash with Aston Villa on Wednesday (15 January).

Everton fans will be keen to hear from Moyes

Blues supporters will be keen to hear from the new man in the dugout after he returned to the club 12 years after his departure.

However, Moyes is ready to fix those bridges left damaged before him with his appearance in front of the cameras on Monday as he lays out his plans for the future on Merseyside.

The first thing on his agenda is arresting a run of form that has seen the Blues win just one of their last six matches.

The Friedkin Group dismissed Dyche after the club slid to within a point of the relegation zone and Moyes will hope to reassure supporters that his reign will be different.

While his focus is on the pitch, he will likely be planning to improve the squad in the January transfer window and will surely be asked about those plans as well.

There is a feel-good factor returning very slowly to Goodison Park with Moyes, and let's hope that can bring more success on the pitch.
