David Moyes appears to have spotted a potential future star residing in Everton's youth ranks.

Everton have a clear ambition to become a perennial European qualifier through the Premier League moving forward.

The move to Hill Dickinson Stadium and some of the transfer work they've done has proven that.

As a result, the pathway from Finch Farm's academy system to first-team level may never have been tougher for the club's young players.

Harrison Armstrong and Braiden Graham are the two big success stories in that regard so far this season for the Toffees.

But it may not be long before another youngster is making himself known to the Everton faithful.

However, it feels like a long time since the club has brought through a top centre-back talent into the first team.

That could be about to change, though, and the player potentially responsible for doing so goes by the name of Francis Boggan.

As detailed via an Instagram post from The Talent Hunter, Boggan trained with Everton's first team on Tuesday for the first time.

It was only last year that he made history in becoming Everton's youngest ever Under-18s player at 14 years and 204 days.

Boggan was also presented with a scholarship offer two years earlier than usual, and is said to be seen as one of Everton's most highly-rated talents right now.

Now already sniffing around the Everton first-team, Boggan looks to be a player destined to achieve great things in the future.

For now, he will continue his development at Finch Farm, as Toffees coaches look to be patient and careful with him.

So far in 2026-27, he's made three appearances for Everton's Under-18s in the U-18 Premier League, whilst he made nine at that level last term.

As detailed via Transfermarkt, Boggan has made a handful of his appearances as a right-back too, showing his versatility.

Evertonians don't need any reminders on how much of a problem it was finding a player for that position this summer before Ainsley Maitland-Niles arrived.

But with the arrival from Lyon already 29, in a few years' time Boggan could be ready to naturally succeed Maitland-Niles at Hill Dickinson.
