Everton: Laurence Rabinowitz to become new Blues saviour as second points deduction looms
Everton may have found a new saviour in Laurence Rabinowitz as a second points deduction now looms over Goodison Park, according to Simon Mullock.
The Sunday Mirror journalist reported in the newspaper's print edition (3 March, page 63) that the 63-year-old who led the Toffees' appeal against their 10-point deduction could end up being the hero in Sean Dyche's relegation fight.
Rabinowitz is expected to be retained if a second profit and sustainability charge brings another points deduction and Mullock believes if he is successful once again, supporters in Merseyside may be eager to honour the 63-year-old.
Writing for the Sunday Mirror, he said: "If he's successful, there might be a petition launched to name a stand after him at Everton's new stadium."

Everton and Dyche's survival bid was massively aided by the independent commission's decision to hand the Toffees back four of the 10 points they were deducted for their first PSR charge, but it will be little help if a second points deduction follows.
While it is expected that the second deduction would be slightly less severe following the Toffees' successful appeal, it could be enough to throw Everton straight back into the relegation battle and into trouble once again.
Rabinowitz has been a saviour already at Goodison Park, but nobody is certain that he will be able to manage the same heroics a second time and that could ultimately end up costing Dyche's side their place in the Premier League.
Hopefully, the Toffees will start to pick things up on the pitch so that they don't have to rely on the legal work behind the scenes on Merseyside as their defeat to West Ham was a big opportunity to put some distance between them and the bottom three.
