Everton news as Alan Myers issues Sean Dyche sack decision claim

Alan Myers believes nothing will happen with regards to Sean Dyche being sacked until the Everton takeover is completed.

After the 4-0 defeat against Manchester United on 1 December, the Sky Sports news editor was asked if the club will part ways with their manager.

While he stated that he does not think it will happen he also admitted that anything is possible in football.

Via X, Myers wrote: "My hunch is nothing will happen until the takeover (in about 2 weeks or so) but in football I guess anything is possible."

Sean Dyche appears to have run out of time at Everton

It seems like the Dyche era at Goodison Park has run its course.

While the club were not expected to go to Old Trafford and get the three points against a side high on confidence after a new manager, there were expectations that they'd put in a fight.

However, after conceding the first goal they just rolled over and conceding right after half-time suggests that the players did not know what they were supposed to do to change the course of the match.

Sitting back and playing long balls to the attackers cannot always be the game plan and it seems that's all Dyche's philosophy is.

While he does have credit in the bank for keeping the side up despite adversity there's only so far he can take Everton.

The new owners surely will not be impressed with what they've been watching and a change needs to be made sooner rather than later.
