Everton: Farhad Moshiri will be 'pretty happy' with recent developments at Goodison Park
Farhad Moshiri will be "pretty happy" that Everton supporters have shifted their focus away from him and towards the Premier League, according to journalist Daniel Storey.
Everton fans ramped up their protests aimed at Premier League chiefs at the weekend with a number of demonstrations, including before and during the 3-0 loss to Manchester United.
Speaking on the Totally Football Show [27 November, 21m 28s], Storey argued Moshiri has now escaped the main fury of the Toffees' faithful.
"The thing that's really interesting to me is that, a few months ago, Farhad Moshiri was the bad guy and there were protests against his mismanagement," Storey said.
"Now, it's almost like he's been able to escape the spotlight during Everton's worst days because it's all been pushed onto the Premier League. I suspect he's pretty happy about that."
Temporary reprieve
While it is true that it is the Premier League, rather than Moshiri, who are now front and centre of these protests, supporters have not forgiven the main figurehead of the club.
After all, it was Moshiri's mismanagement that got Everton into this position in the first place, even if the 10-point punishment passed down to the club was over the top.
For now, supporters will continue to protest against the Premier League and wait to hear back on any appeal decision that is formally lodged.
There is also one eye on the takeover situation, with the very real possibility that Moshiri will no longer be at Goodison Park just a couple of months from now.
If the 777 Partners takeover falls through, though, then you can expect supporters to turn their attention back to Moshiri in the not-too-distant future.
