Everton are looking to get back to winning ways this week, after a hugely disappointing disappointing September.

The Toffees failed to win any of their four games across the month, and scored just two goals.

But Sunday's game against Crystal Palace will bring a new opportunity to get back on track, despite the impressive form of the opponents.

Here, Goodison News rounds up all of the latest news from the last 24 hours.

Everton world ranking revealed

Despite the last month, Everton have remained competitive in the Premier League, and sit ninth after six games played.

And according to Opta's latest power rankings, Everton are ranked above Manchester United among the world's best teams.

The Toffees are ranked 27th, although their presence above the Red Devils should not be a surprise given the dreadful form Ruben Amorim's team find themselves in.

David Moyes' urged against dropping Michael Keane

Michael Keane has enjoyed a superb season for Everton, emerging among the Toffees' best players in the absence of Jarrad Branthwaite.

The defender was brilliant again on Monday against West Ham, and scored the opener with a powerful header.

Connor O'Neil told the Royal Blue podcast on Wednesday that Moyes would be "bang out of order" if he drops Keane.

“He’s given him a real selection dilemma because you’d be hard pressed to drop Michael Keane right now," the journalist added.

Kevin Thelwell adds another Everton man to his Rangers team

Kevin Thelwell left Everton at the end of last season, joining Rangers in the role of sporting director.

Head of recruitment Dan Purdy was quick to join the former director of football in Scotland, and another staff member at the Hill Dickinson Stadium is now set to make the move.

Journalist reveals crushing Dwight McNeil claim

Dwight McNeil is expected to leave Everton, either in January, or next summer.

The winger has featured in just three of the Toffees' fixtures this season, despite playing a key role for much of the last campaign.

“He now saw himself as a senior player, he had to develop. And since that interview was made, obviously Alcaraz was signed at the start of the summer, he was already through the door," the journalist said.
