Everton news: Update emerges on further points deduction due to PSR breach

Everton have been handed a fresh two-point deduction for breaking the Premier League's PSR rules, according to David Ornstein.

This is in addition to the six-point penalty they were handed earlier and sees them fall a place to 16th in the table.

They have seven days to notify the league if they plan on appealing the decision.

Via Twitter, Ornstein wrote: "Everton given 2-point deduction for breach of PL PSR rules. Penalty for 3yr cycle to 22-23. Follows 6-point deduction for previous cycle. #EFC drop 1 spot to 16th, 2 points above relegation zone. 7 days to notify if intend to appeal."
