Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is being targeted by Everton, Nottingham Forest and Fulham, with the player's camp expecting a "mega-busy" couple of days, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper has shared via its website on 31 August that Hudson-Odoi has been made surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge, with a permanent move viewed to kickstart his career.

It is suggested that Nottingham Forest are the current favourite to secure his signature, although Everton are pitching in to try and get a deal done too.

A chance to revive a stalling star

Everton should jump at the chance to sign Hudson-Odoi in the hope that the club can help turn around his career and see a return to the talent he showed as a teenager. While it may be a gamble in hopes he does return to his form of old, the rumoured fees would suggest it is one worth taking.

The 22-year-old's career has stalled following an achilles injury in 2019, a famously difficult injury to return from without any change in form or style. Four years on, though, it is time for him to revive his career, in a deal that would be beneficial to all parties.

Chelsea are keen to get him off of their books. They didn't give him a squad number and his last Blues appearance was in March 2022. Everton are desperate for reinforcements on the wing, especially if Alex Iwobi leaves, and could offer his best chance at regular game time.

Husdon-Odoi made 21 appearances on loan at Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga last season but managed just one goal. This would be a risk for the Toffees, there is no doubt about that, but if they can help him reach his form of old, it would be some coup.
