Everton relegation prediction made by Super Computer after Man United loss

Everton have been predicted to retain their Premier League status and avoid relegation from the top flight at the end of the season, according to The Opta Analyst.

Opta's super computer has ruled that the Toffees will finish just one place below where they currently sit in 16th, with the three promoted sides the ones predicted to go down.

They do, however, still have a 26.56 per cent chance of relegation, with Wolves not too far behind them with a likelihood of 28 per cent lingering over their heads.

Everton need Sean Dyche to keep them in Premier League this season

As The Friedkin Group's takeover is edging ever closer, it's becoming increasingly more likely that Dyche is going to be relieved of his duties by the end of the season when his contract is set to expire.

The manager has done a solid enough job since arriving at Goodison Park, helping to guide them through one of the toughest seasons in their history last term when they were deducted points twice for two separate breaches of the Premier League's PSR rules.

While the Friedkin's aren't yet the owners of the Merseyside outfit, it's hard to see why they wouldn't be included in the conversation regarding where the future of the club is heading.

Indeed, Dyche may not be the man that Dan Friedkin wants to lead his new team into the next era of the club.

However, he's probably the best option they have for ensuring Premier League survival so that their first season at Bramley-Moore Dock isn't played in the second tier.
