Everton transfer verdict emerges as Hull City defender Jacob Greaves eyed
Everton are unlikely to change the training routine of Hull City centre-back Jacob Greaves should he join this summer, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that despite the 23-year-old moving to a more physical league, his fitness history suggests he will adapt to life quickly at the club.
This comes after HITC reported on 14 June that the Toffees are eyeing Greaves as a replacement for Jarrad Branthwaite.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Greaves:
"Playing 43 out of 46 games is a testament to his fitness levels and an indicator that he could adapt to the rigours of the Premier League.
"At 23, he’s young but not too young that he might struggle to cope with the intensity of the top flight.
"This past season he was injury-free and that bodes exceptionally well for him.
"With his injury-free record, I wouldn’t change it much outside of ramping some things up to meet the increased demands.
"Everton are unlikely to change his training routine either and he will soon adapt given the increased intensity of first-team training."
Jacob Greaves could be a decent squad option for Everton
The 23-year-old would be a decent signing for the Toffees due to his Championship experience and leadership qualities.
However, their focus should be on acquiring quality first-team options.
Greaves, while promising, lacks Premier League experience and may not be ready to immediately step into a starting role.
Sean Dyche's side, having avoided relegation last season, need proven players who can make an immediate impact and would need better defensive options, particularly if Branthwaite leaves.
