Everton’s 2026-27 Premier League relegation chances predicted by supercomputer

Everton will not plan on being dragged into the relegation battle in the new campaign.

A supercomputer has revealed its predictions for the 2026-27 season that could have supporters worried.

However, the Opta Analyst supercomputer believes that they have a 13.6 per cent chance of dropping to the second tier.

Hull City are the favourites with a chance of 38.7 per cent, with Ipswich next at 31.2 per cent then Coventry with a 27.9 per cent likelihood.

Sunderland and Fulham are handed a 25.9 per cent and a 23.4 per cent chance of finishing in the bottom three.

While Leeds (22.5 per cent), Crystal Palace (20 per cent), Nottingham Forest (18.1 per cent) and Brentford (16.3 per cent) all have higher chances than the Blues.

It seems like it would take a particular set of circumstances for the Merseysiders to find themselves in trouble.

How could Everton be dragged into relegation battle?

The most likely culprit would be injuries, as if several players had issues at the same time it may put the Toffees in danger.

It would likely have to be a centre-back crisis with Jarrad Branthwaite, James Tarkowski and Michael Keane all out to put Moyes' side in that scenario.

The lack of business could also strike trouble for the Blues, if Thierno Barry and Beto do not perform when leading the line.

The right-back problem could also rear its head again, with Moyes forced to utilise Jake O'Brien and Merlin Rohl heavily in that position in pre-season.

If they don't bring one in, then it could lead to a nightmare situation.
