Everton will return soon to start their preparations for the 2026-27 campaign.

The Blues missed out on a European place by four points last season, after a disappointing conclusion.

David Moyes will be keen to start the season off fast, so that the Toffees are in a position where they can achieve their ambitions.

The club have already confirmed several friendlies, so we have an insight into when supporters will see the squad in action again.

There will no new signings in action as the Hill Dickinson Stadium outfit are yet to complete any deals.

Some youth prospects may have a chance to breakthough and make an impression on supporters.

When will Everton return for pre-season?

The Blues will likely return to training towards the end of June, but no date has been confirmed.

Several Toffees stars will be away for longer though, with those involved in the World Cup, not coming back for a while.

The likes of Jordan Pickford, Iliman Ndiaye, Idrissa Gueye and Nathan Patterson will have a 21-day break, mandated by FIFA, after their sides are eliminated from the tournament.

What pre-season matches have Everton confirmed?

The Blues have confirmed five pre-season matches already.

They will start their campaign on 18 July at Dens Park, against Scottish Premiership side Dundee, with a 14:00pm kick-off time.

They will then face newly-promoted Championship side Bolton Wanderers on 25 July at the Toughsheet Community Stadium, at 15:00pm.

Stoke City at the Bet 365 Stadium are next up on 28 July, which will start at 19:45pm.

A trip to Germany follows, with VFB Stuttgart the opponents at the MHP Arena on 8 August, with a 16:00pm kick-off time.

Newcastle United will take on the Toffees at Murrayfield on 12 August, which will kick-off at 17:15pm.

Everton have confirmed that live streams of the fixtures will be available when rights allow, but that is subject to availability and territorial restrictions.

What are the rumoured pre-season matches?

The Blues confirmed that two more games are set to be announced, one against a German side which is billed as landmark double-header for the Men's and Women's teams.

That could be against Hamburg, as reports in Germany have stated that Moyes' side could be glamour opponents as part of their 'Volkspark Festival'.

The other is at Hill Dickinson Stadium, but the opponent has not been announced.
