Owen Hargreaves and Michael Owen have been blown away by Andros Townsend's goal for Everton against Manchester United.

Last weekend, the Toffees came away from Old Trafford with a point and it was courtesy of the 30-year-old's finish from a counter-attack.

The Englishman tucked home the ball into the bottom-left corner, leaving David de Gea with no chance to get his hands on the ball.

Discussing his finish on the Premier League Catch-Up Show, Hargreaves said, "I love him. That was a terrific finish and celebration."

Owen, who was also on the panel with him, seconded the former Premier League midfielder's views.

He said, "It was just perfect from Everton's point of view. He's done so well there."

Fantastic

Getting an away any result from Old Trafford was going to be a boon and Rafa Benitez's men came so close to sealing all three points.

Had Yerry Mina not been offside or if Tom Davies didn't square the ball into his stride, things could've been a lot different.

That said, Townsend's calm finish was a thing of beauty and he's been such a pivotal addition to this Toffees squad.

When he was signed, many believed that he would add to their strength in depth, but he's turned out to be such an important first-team player for Benitez.

Together with Demarai Gray, Townsend has wreaked havoc in opposition defences and he's only getting better with each passing game.

Hopefully, his crazy goal-scoring run continues after the international break as the Toffees could do with such thrilling performances.
