Everton fans will get the chance to see Brennan Johnson in action for Wales for the first time as a Toffee.

The 25-year-old joined David Moyes' squad in mid-August as part of a swap deal that saw Dwight McNeil move to Crystal Palace.

Since then, he's enjoyed a mixed bag of success in his first few weeks at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

He's didn't register a goal contribution in his first five Premier League games, but did grab a goal and an assist in the Carabao Cup win over Preston.

The versatile winger has been a regular in the Wales side for a number of years now, and is one of Craig Bellamy's talismanic forwards.

King is bit of a forgotten man at Everton, with only his regular inclusions as an unused substitute in squads keeping him in the minds of fans.

The 31-year-old hasn't featured in a competitive game at club level since the 2024-25 season with Wolves.

Indeed, he's never made a competitive appearance for Everton since joining last year, and that doesn't look set to change any time soon.

However, after numerous call-ups but no caps, King did eventually make his Wales debut in June 2024 against Gibraltar.

Bellamy has called him up to his Nations League squad alongside Manchester United's Karl Darlow and Wrexham's Danny Ward.

Given it's a competitive fixture, Darlow is sure to start in the Dragons' goal, so it would likely take an injury or red card for King to have any chance of being called upon.

Either way, he's in the squad so there's always a chance, but Evertonians are far more likely to get a better look at Johnson than King on Thursday.
