Hull City vs Everton injury latest as nine players could miss out
The Blues travel to the MKM Stadium to face the newly-promoted side on their return to Premier League action.
David Moyes' side are unbeaten so far, winning two and drawing three of their opening five league matches.
The hosts sit one place behind the Toffees in eighth place in the top-flight after an impressive start to life back in the division.
Sergej Jakirovic's side have only lost one match so far, with two wins and two draws since they returned to the elite level.
It will be a difficult contest for the visitors, but injuries will play a part for both sides.
What is Everton injury latest coming into the Hull clash?
Everton come into the clash with two issues, but one is more encouraging than the other.
Vitalii Mykolenko could return if he can prove his fitness after picking up an undisclosed injury on international duty, but Christian Norgaard is expected to miss out despite being pictured back in training.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Moyes said: "He's [Mykolenko] got a chance for Sunday, the extra day might help, we'll see.
"We had a behind closed doors game, so he [Norgaard] got the first minutes he's had for a long time, he's making progress, I don't know if he's quite ready to be involved yet.
"With our numbers being so short, it might be something I have to look at, but if I had my way I would certainly give him a bit more time if I could."
Mykolenko's fitness is probably more important, as if he is out there is no cover at left-back after Adam Aznou was sent away on loan.
James Garner may end up having to fill in, given his exploits in the position with England in the international break.
What has Sergej Jakirovic said about Hull injuries?
Hull boss Jakirovic confirmed that three players could come back into his side for the contest, with Tim Iroegbunam, Brooke Norton-Cuffy and Hidemasa Morita all available.
He revealed that Matt Targett will miss out, saying: “We have some problems, Matt Targett twisted his ankle in the training session so he’s out for this game but Morita came back, Brooke Norton-Cuffy came back also in the training sessions, and also Tim."
Ilyas Ansah, Elliot Stroud and Charlie Hughes are expected to return later this month from their respective issues.
Jack Butland and Darko Gyabi are not forecast to return until nearer to the festive period.
Meanwhile, Eliot Matazo is understood to be out until February with a serious knee injury.
Having that trio back, especially Iroegbunam is a big boost for the Tigers, as he will be keen to make an impression against his former club.
The midfielder will want to show Moyes that he should not have sold him earlier this summer, and make the Scotsman regret the decision.
