Iliman Ndiaye taunts Liverpool fans with three-word Everton response
Iliman Ndiaye has not forgotten his time at Everton after making a move to Manchester City in the summer.
The winger completed a big-money move to Man City despite looking likely to head to Tottenham for £65million.
The Senegal international has made the move at a controversial time after Enzo Maresca's side have been found guilty of breaching financial fair play rules by the Premier League.
Man City played Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday in what was a feisty affair due to the history that the two clubs have created in recent years, competing against each other for Premier League trophies.
Ndiaye is obviously known by Liverpool fans as a player who once frightened them when seeing him in Everton's starting eleven for Merseyside derbies.
After Man City beat Liverpool 3-0, Ndiaye had something Everton-related to say to the home crowd.
Iliman Ndiaye's Everton response to Liverpool fans
Ndiaye was heckled down the tunnel by Liverpool fans at full-time.
Winding the home fans up even further, he responded to them by shouting a three-word Everton response their way.
He said, as shared by Tactically Matt on X this Monday: "Up the Toffees."
Ndiaye responded to them after being called a "cheat", something he may now have to get used to after Man City's guilty verdict.
The club are appealing against the Premier League's judgement, despite having breached an alleged 114 out of 115 charges against them.
There are several implications that can affect other Premier League clubs, including Everton, with the Friedkin Group currently looking to sell the Toffees.
The Blues' overall face value could be damaged by a knock-on effect of how severe Man City's punishments are.
Did Ndiaye make a mistake by leaving Everton?
David Moyes never wanted to lose Ndiaye, and if it wasn't clear before, it certainly is now, following TFG's plans to sell.
Though Ndiaye couldn't predict the future regarding City's charges, he must have known there was some danger
Now, there's a chance that the 26-year-old won't even be a Premier League player soon.
He's not exactly set the world alight since moving from Everton either, with no goals or assists in his first five games for his new team.
Either way, the jury is out on whether he made a mistake by leaving the Toffees, as time will tell the truth.
