James Garner has already told Everton fans exactly how he feels about England omission

Everton star James Garner does not seem phased by his latest England snub.

The 25-year-old was not selected for Thomas Tuchel's 27-man squad for the upcoming Nations League matches

The Three Lions will play Spain, Czech Republic twice and Croatia but Garner will not be involved.

The Blues star will not add to his two-caps that he has previously earned for his country after another omission from the national team.

Jordan Pickford and Jarrad Branthwaite have been selected from David Moyes' side, but their midfield teammate will not link up with them.

Garner has already shared his feelings on the fact that he will not feature for his country in the September and October break.

Garner was asked about the potential of an England call-up after the Carabao Cup victory over Wolves on Wednesday.

Speaking to the BBC after the win over the Championship side in midweek, he said: “I have had a couple of games, I have not quite been up to the standards that I set last season, however, I don’t think I’ve looked out of place.

“If it happens, it happens, if it doesn’t, I’m not too fussed.”

That suggests that he is not bothered about the fact that he has missed out once again under Tuchel.

The question that must be asked, though, is did he deserve to miss out?

How has Garner performed so far this season for Everton?

Garner has played six times so far this season, with four appearances in the Premier League.

The two-cap ace has averaged 0.38 shots and 1.13 chances created per 90 minutes so far, according to Fotmob data.

Garner has completed 90.6 per cent of his passes, and has made 8.25 line breaking passes per game.

Defensively, he has averaged 13.5 contributions, with 4.13 tackles, 7.5 recoveries and 0.75 clearances.

In terms of duels, he has won 59.3 per cent on the ground, which is a very solid rate.

Tuchel has opted for the likes of Elliot Anderson, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Kobbie Mainoo, Declan Rice and Alex Scott over him, and given his data so far, that seems very unfair.

Luckily for Moyes and Blues supporters, it does not look like Garner will be disappointed by the news and will be affected on the pitch, given his previous comments.

Privately, he may well be more determined to prove himself to Tuchel, and that can only benefit the Hill Dickinson Stadium side in their chase for European qualification.
