Chelsea may be reluctant to sanction a loan exit for midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu amid links to Everton, according to TEAMtalk.

The news outlet reported on 2 August that with Conor Gallagher set to leave for Atletico Madrid, the London club may not want to lose another midfielder.

The Toffees are understood to be keen on signing the 20-year-old Frenchman who has admirers at Stamford Bridge as well.

Lesley Ugochukwu would be a quality addition to the Everton side

Ugochukwu could be a quality signing for the Toffees due to his potential and versatility.

At just 20 years old, he has already shown promise at Chelsea, despite limited playing time.

His ability to play in multiple midfield roles could be a significant asset for Everton.

The Frenchman's physical presence and defensive capabilities could provide much-needed steel in the middle of the park.

Furthermore, his loan status means the Toffees would not have to commit to a permanent transfer, allowing them to assess his suitability over a season.

Their need for midfield reinforcements, especially with the departure of Amadou Onana, makes Ugochukwu an attractive option.

Sean Dyche would undoubtedly fancy a hard-working central midfielder and the Frenchman checks many boxes for him.
