Everton must be careful about Chelsea midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu’s hamstring injury from last season, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that he had a hamstring strain but then a re-injury which was a Grade 3 one that saw him missing nearly five months.

This comes after the Toffees are keen on signing the 20-year-old Frenchman on loan but Chelsea are not convinced that they should sanction an exit.

“Looks have a hamstring strain and then a Grade 3 re-injury.

“Will certainly be a yellow flag but Everton will be looking for anything outside the norm during his medical.

“With proper rehabilitation and return to match planning, can certainly get through those issues but have to be methodical.”

Lesley Ugochukwu could be a good signing for Everton

The Toffees could benefit from signing the 20-year-old French midfielder from Chelsea before the window shuts.

Ugochukwu has made 15 appearances for Chelsea, showcasing his ability to adapt to different roles.

His young age suggests he has room to develop further under the right guidance and he could offer Sean Dyche the solidity he needs in the middle of the park.
