Everton will be targeting a new right-winger as a "priority" this upcoming summer transfer window, according to the Athletic.

Patrick Boyland has suggested that the Toffees will be perilously short in options out-wide at Goodison Park with movement expected.

Richarlison has moved more central, and with the likes of Theo Walcott likely to leave, Carlo Ancelotti will need new arrivals.

Writing in the Athletic, Boyland has shared numerous transfer updates with the specific positions that Ancelotti wants to improve.

"With Richarlison featuring as a centre-left forward in the second half of the season and Theo Walcott on course to join Southampton, where he is out on loan, as a free agent over the summer, Everton look perilously short in wide positions," he wrote.

"The Athletic understands that a new winger is a priority."

Needed.

James Rodriguez and Dominic Calvert-Lewin alongside Richarlison are the three that are consistently used at Goodison Park.

There is little in the way of depth and competition available to Ancelotti, with Alex Iwobi, Bernard and Josh King all featuring against Aston Villa over the weekend.

All three have proved that they aren't good enough to consistently start, and if we want to push into those European spots every year, we need better options.

With Rodriguez clearly incapable of playing every single week, it has to be a guarantee that we are bringing in more than one attacking option.

Leon Bailey has been mentioned in the same article, and the Jamaican superstar would be the perfect addition; bring it on.
