Everton may have solved their attacking woes after links to Rangers star Hamza Igamane emerged on Tuesday.

The Blues are showing a strong interest in the Gers forward after scouts were left "very impressed" by the Moroccan forward, according to a report from TBR Football.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is out of contract in the summer and has shown no signs that he will to sign a new deal [BBC Sport] and the Friedkin Group are keen to move Beto on, so the Toffees need additions in their strikeforce urgently.

They are understood to face competition from fellow Premier League clubs West Ham, Bournemouth, Brentford, Fulham and Newcastle United for the 22-year-old's signature just six months after his £1.7 million move to Ibrox.

Everton must seal a deal for Igamane

The Blues are in desperate need of more firepower as they seek to avoid being dragged into another brutal survival battle this season.

Sean Dyche's side are currently just three points above the relegation zone albeit with a game-in-hand against arch-rivals Liverpool.

However, they struggle to score goals, the Toffees have scored in just one of their last six matches, the 4-0 victory against Wolves on 4 December.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto have scored just three Premier League goals so far this season between them, with the last being the Guinea forward's strike against Fulham in a 1-1 draw on 26 October.

Meanwhile, Igamane has scored five goals in his last six matches, including a brace against Nice and a strike against Tottenham in the Europa League.

Whether Dyche can convince the Gers attacker to move south of the border so soon into his career remains to be seen but one thing is certain, the Blues need a goalscorer and Igamane could solve their issues in front of goal.
