Supercomputer predicts Everton's Premier League finish after defeat vs Tottenham
Everton were defeated at the Hill Dickinson Stadium for the first time on Sunday.
Tottenham claimed all three points against Everton in a dismal 3-0 thrashing in the rain on 26 October, in what was a difficult afternoon for the Toffees.
While spectators were unconvinced by some of the refereeing decisions that went against Everton against Spurs, it wasn't good enough overall.
Nevertheless, most fans would agree that more quality from their squad was needed to secure a victory.
Everton predicted to finish 13th
This will see them end the season five spots behind the Lilywhites, who have advanced to eighth on the predicted table, as things stand.
- Everton are predicted to finish with an average of 46.28 points
- The Toffees have a 0.02 per cent chance of becoming title winners
- They have a 1.14 per cent chance of securing UEFA Champions League football
Brentford are expected to finish one spot above David Moyes' side, while Sunderland are one spot below despite currently being fourth in the league.
Everton are currently 14th, and while this is a slight improvement, fans will want to aim higher this season after a positive start.
David Moyes has an attacking problem to solve
Jordan Pickford was criticised for his performance against Tottenham, and given that he conceded three goals, the reactions are understandable.
However, Everton failed to score a single legitimate goal at home against the Lilywhites, which is cause for concern, given the amount of possession they had.

Despite creating a similar number of chances as Tottenham and performing at a similar level, their opponents secured all three points with relative ease.
Everton's goalscoring underperformance has been a problem for Moyes throughout the season.
Beto has been criticised for his goalscoring form, and while Jack Grealish has been their best creator, he hasn't been scoring consistently.
As a result, while Pickford's performance was far from his best, he was not completely to blame for the defeat to Spurs. Indeed, Everton's finishing is a bigger issue Moyes needs to address moving forward.
If he can do just that, a top 10 finish in the Premier League will be entirely possible this season.
