Three Everton players who will knock on David Moyes’ door vs Wolves as England chance approaches

And with Everton taking on Wolves in the Carabao Cup, it's the final audition to push their way into Tuchel's upcoming plans.

So, these three Everton stars will be hoping for a lack of rotation on Wednesday night.

Besides Pickford, who is likely to be called up, Everton do have three other players that are on the periphery of selection.

Well, at least in the view of those who frequently watch the Toffees.

With Everton having a thin squad, David Moyes will need to find ways to rotate and the Carabao Cup against a Championship side could be a tempting time to do so.

However, for James Garner, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Jarrad Branthwaite, they will be pushing to earn their spot once more.

Dewsbury-Hall and Garner have started in all five of Everton's competitive fixtures in 2026-27 so far.

But, Branthwaite was not included in the squad that progressed past Preston in the previous round.

Moyes needs to be careful not to fly too close to the sun and keep selecting the same players each matchweek, as fatigue fears will only increase.

However, those three players have been in fine form and England call-ups cannot be too far away, with one final audition potentially having an important impact on that chance.

England have confirmed when the announcement of Tuchel's squad for the September-October break will take place.

Confirmation of his squad will be made on Friday, 18 September, although, he will likely have made his final choices in the days leading up to that.

That means the timing of the Wolves Carabao Cup clash is absolutely paramount to any late audition to push your way into the German's plans.
