Everton have turned their focus to the Carabao Cup third-round clash with Wolves on Tuesday.

Everton come into the contest from a 2-1 loss to Liverpool, in which they were unlucky to come away without a point at Anfield.

Wolves have lost five of their opening six matches in all competitions, including Everton's narrow 3-2 win in August.

David Moyes is looking to add a trophy to his Everton legacy, and he will feel like he has a great chance to progress against the Old Gold.

Team news

Moyes could make eight changes for the clash, with Thierno Barry potentially starting over Beto after his miserable showing against the Reds.

Mark Travers could be drafted in between the sticks, with Seamus Coleman and Adam Aznou replacing Jako O'Brien and Vitalii Mykolenko on the flanks.

  • Beto was hooked at half-time in the Merseyside derby, with Barry coming on
  • Travers started in the last round in the win over Mansfield and seems to be genuine competition to Jordan Pickford
  • Aznou and Coleman returned to the bench against Liverpool, and could be handed a start against Wolves

The likes of Jack Grealish and Iliman Ndiaye may be rested in favour of Tyler Dibling and Dwight McNeil against the bottom dwellers.

Meanwhile, Vitor Pereira's only injury issue for the hosts is winger Enso Gonzalez, who is expected to be out until the turn of the year.

Jordan Strand Larsen started from the bench in the defeat to Leeds, and there are still question marks over his fitness.

Everton should have too much for the struggling Midlands outfit, even with the changes that Moyes might make across his team.

It was a close encounter last time when the sides met, but while Wolves have gone in the wrong direction, the Blues are looking up the table.

Moyes is looking for a trophy to cement his legacy on Merseyside, and his side are on an upward trajectory at the moment, which cannot be said for Pereira's team.
