Alan Myers has shared that he has heard nothing regarding a potential Everton move for Watford attacker Yaser Asprilla.

The journalist replied to a question about any potential interest in the attacker on X, subtly squashing any potential push from the Toffees.

This comes after it was reported on 7 July by the Sunday People [Page 58] that the Colombia international was on Everton's radar following some solid performances in Copa America.

Everton to sign Yaser Asprilla?

Everton are already consistently being linked with new attackers this summer.

This is despite both Jack Harrison and Iliman Ndiaye having been welcomed to the club following their moves to Goodison Park this summer.

One of the main reasons for this could be that although Dominic Calvert-Lewin has led their line for the last few seasons, he could now be on his way out this summer due to interest from teams such as Newcastle.

Indeed, the Toffees still have Beto as another number-nine option but after scoring just three Premier League goals last term, he hasn't filled fans with much confidence.

Hull City star Jaden Philogene is another attacking player whom the Toffees have reached an agreement with [Daily Mail, 7 July] following the return of Jack Harrison on a season-long loan.

Should the former Aston Villa man choose to ply his trade at Goodison Park next season, there's no doubt that alongside Harrison and Ndiaye, Sean Dyche's attack would be in much better shape.
