Everton have made the best offer to Atletico-MG to secure the services of attacker Alisson, according to Pedro Faria.

The O Tempo journalist took to X on 19 August to report that the Brazilian side are negotiating the 18-year-old striker's potential exit.

Alisson is wanted by the Toffees and it appears that he could be on his way out before the 30 August transfer deadline.

Faria wrote: "Atlético is negotiating Alisson's exit. Everton is the team that made the best offer for the player, who could leave the club this summer."

Everton must seal the deal quickly before other clubs enter race for Alisson

The Toffees' interest in signing Alisson from Atletico-MG appears to be genuine and heating up so it makes sense to seal the deal before his price inflates due to competition.

Alisson is recognised as one of the brightest prospects from Atletico's youth setup and represents not just potential but immediate impact due to his versatility across the forward line.

While he will not walk into the playing eleven, the fact that the Toffees have made a bid this late in the window, suggests that he could be used as a first-team rotation option.

Given Everton's financial constraints and the necessity to invest wisely, acquiring him at a lower fee could be pivotal.

The urgency stems from the fact that other clubs, potentially with deeper pockets or more immediate needs for his profile, could soon enter the fray.

If the Toffees can negotiate a deal now, leveraging perhaps a lower release clause or a buyout option before his market value skyrockets, they stand to benefit immensely from his development without the financial burden of a bidding war.
