Angus Kinnear makes new request to Everton fans, some instantly decline

Angus Kinnear has become a polarised figure at Everton.

After promising a busy end to the transfer window in the middle of August, it couldn't have gone much worst for the chief executive.

Kinnear was appointed as CEO back in May 2025, and Leeds fans instantly celebrated his exit from Elland Road.

Everton supporters were happy to give him time, but that may have run out already at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

While the Friedkin Group hide away and look for new investors already, Kinnear has become the face and voice on matchdays and general workings.

And, it isn't going well.

What has Angus Kinnear requested now?

To be fair to Kinnear, he has been given a heavy role.

David Moyes recently admitted that he's never spoken to the Friedkins since he returned, which is simply unbelievable.

Kinnear is the voicepiece for all parties it seems, so there's no surprise that chaos is unfolding every single day.

Now, after the disastrous end to the transfer window, he's made his move.

According to evertonhub on Instagram, Kinnear requested time to meet with several fan groups on Tuesday.

While some accepted, many were said to have declined that request, with the meetings already held on 8 September.

It's not known the outcome of those talks, but minutes could soon be made available, as is usually the case.

What happened in deadline day from hell?

Everton fans still aren't over the end of the transfer window.

Moyes being left with less than 20 senior players simply isn't good enough, and there's serious hope that injuries don't rack up now.

After letting Iliman Ndiaye leave for only £60m to Manchester City, as well as Beto, Nathan Patterson and Adam Aznou, depth is non-existent.

Everton have one striker, and one genuine option at both sides of defence.

Throw in the failure to sign Folarin Balogun from Monaco, who simply walked away, it's embarrassing.

Kinnear can't take all the blame for that, but given his public-facing role, he will take the majority of the stick.

He's trying his best to make it work, but given the protests and some even declining to meet him, some things just don't work out.

With protests continuing, this may only get worse before it gets any better.
