Beto among seven Everton stars facing contract countdown ahead of crucial season
Beto headlines the list of Everton star's with contracts expiring at the end of the new season.
The Blues will be looking to qualify for European competition under David Moyes after a disappointing campaign last time out.
The Guinea-Bissau forward underwhelmed for most of the 2025-26 season, but eventually finished with nine Premier League strikes.
Beto will be free to depart Everton, if they can't come to an agreement on fresh terms.
They will have to make decisions on several first-team players after the upcoming season finishes, making it a crucial campaign for those stars.
Goodison News examines who is at risk of leaving and whether they should be extended.
Dwight McNeil decision could be the hardest for Everton to make
Dwight McNeil nearly left in a £20million deal to join Crystal Palace on deadline day in February, however, the plug was pulled last minute.
He went on to play a role under Moyes and they may have second thoughts about selling him this summer.
However, if they do not think they will come to an agreement, it would be better than letting him leave for free.
Everton's midfield could be weaken by free agent exits next summer
Tim Iroegbunam and Charly Alcaraz are also coming to the end of their deals when the 2026-27 campaign concludes.
The former has been a solid squad player when called upon, making 29 top-flight appearances last season.
He is attracting interest from Hull City and Everton, with the Blues wanting £20m to sell.
Alcaraz has not hit the heights that were expected of him when he joined permanently from Flamengo last summer.
He could be sold before the window ends, so they may not even have a decision to make on the Argentinian.
Backline depth could be decimated if Everton do not agree extensions
The Toffees signed Tom King last summer to play a backup role behind Jordan Pickford and Mark Travers.
However, he could be set to leave after the new season, if an extension is not agreed upon.
That is also the case for Michael Keane and Nathan Patterson, although the latter is not expected to be on Merseyside for much longer.
The Scotland international should leave this summer as his move from Rangers has not worked out for either party.
Moyes' side's depth at the back could be decimated if they do not agree new deals with that trio, or sign replacements.
