Everton take on Aston Villa on Sunday in the Premier League, with Barry expected to lead the line again.
Given they have only scored five goals between them in 42 games this season, it's no surprise that Everton want reinforcements in January.

Wilson is in talks to terminate his West Ham contract this month, with Everton interested.
West Ham returned to winning ways on Saturday, securing a last-gasp 2-1 win against Tottenham to keep their Premier League survival hopes alive.
Despite being on the verge of an exit, Wilson came off the bench to score the winner.
Following that, the Sunday Mail has reported in its print edition that Everton retain at interest in Wilson, who is still expected to move on.
It is said that Saudi Pro League side Al Shabab are expected to hold talks with the 33-year-old this week, meaning they may be one step ahead at this stage.
Everton have number one striker target - It's not Wilson
Wilson may be the cheaper and easier option, but Moyes has his eyes elsewhere,
Youssef En-Nesyri is the clear priority right now, with Fenerbahce already braced for his exit by looking for a replacement this month.
Everton have had a loan offer accepted for En-Nesyri, but the striker is yet to make up his mind, with the African Cup of Nations final later on Sunday first.
Looking at his stats via Sofascore, the Moroccan has already outscored Beto and Barry this season, and likes to get on the ball as much as possible, rather than shooting aimlessly.
Wilson is much more of a poacher, and while that may suit Everton, they need a proactive striker who can not only create his chances but finish them too.
Jack Grealish, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Iliman Ndiaye deserve a better striker ahead of them, and the Toffees may be down to their final two candidates.
