Now, Everton have identified Luis Binks as a transfer target.

Alan Nixon has reported on his Patreon that the Brondy defender has emerged as a transfer option.

The reliable journalist states that Binks has alerted Moyes, via his scouts, after his first international call-up for Scotland.

Binks could be an immediate replacement for Jake O'Brien, while it's also said he could be "groomed" to take over from Tarkowski, too.

Who's closest to leaving Everton?

It was a summer to forget at Finch Farm.

Several players were allowed out of the door, despite no replacements being found at the same time.

Angus Kinnear and the Friedkins are facing serious questions after that, so they'll need to improve in future windows to recover that reputation.

O'Brien was another who nearly left, with Premier League interest growing as the window progressed.
